
Organization at a glance
Alor Chaya Protibondhi Songstha is a Disabled Peoples Organization (DPO) working in Dhaka district of Bangladesh. The organization was established in 2001 being started involving 78 persons with disabilities with support from the ADD International Bangladesh. Now the organization has total 275 members; among them male 113 and female 168 The organization implements its activities ensuring equal participation of men and women with disabilities. According the bylaws of the organization there are 32 members in its General Committee and 11 members are in the Executive Committee.
The organizational activities are implemented by the staff and volunteers following the directives of the General Secretary/ Executive Director. Through the direct involvement of the men and women with disabilities, the organization is working to promote rights of persons with disabilities and improving their lives with supports from government and non-government organizations. Besides, the organization is striving for partnership with the mainstreaming organizations for Disability Inclusion in their programs through ensuring active and meaningful participation of persons with disabilities as well as providing capacity building and technical assistance.

Alor Chaya Protibondhi Songstha is working in Bangladesh in Dhaka district. It is working in the Mirpur 13, Bhashantek of the Dhaka North City Corporation.
